Heat can worsen existing health issues and lead to exhaustion or heat stroke. These risks are largely preventable with simple measures:
- Stay hydrated and wear light clothing
- Keep your home cool and well-ventilated
- Avoid outdoor activity during peak heat
- Check in on vulnerable family members or neighbors
