How the UN is supporting The Sustainable Development Goals in Kosovo

Although not a signatory to Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals at the UN General Assembly because of its status as a non-member, Kosovo took the decision to join global efforts to embrace sustainable development and the SDGs. The Kosovo implementation of Agenda 2030 and the SDGs, which has been voluntary in this context, is ensured through the Kosovo Assembly’s January 2018 adoption of a parliamentary resolution endorsing the SDGs, strongly supported by the United Nations Kosovo Team. https://www.kuvendikosoves.org/eng/for-the-public/sutainable-development/the-commitment-of-kosovo/

The Sustainable Development Goals are a global call to action to end poverty, protect the earth’s environment and climate, and ensure that people everywhere can enjoy peace and prosperity. The UN is working on all SDGs in Kosovo.
