Rapid Socio-Economic impact assessment of COVID-19 in Kosovo - 2
The Rapid Socio-economic Impact Assessment (SEIA) of COVID-19 in Kosovo examines the impact of the pandemic on households and businesses in Kosovo. The data collection for the study took place in November 2020 and offers comparisons to the first assessment that occurred in May 2020.The assessment employs a combined approach of two different surveys in providing key findings on the COVID-19's impact on employment, income and revenue, equitable access to basic services, coping mechanisms, business performance, and future outlook. Specifically, the report presents findings from two surveys: (1) An assessment of the socio-economic impact of the crisis on Kosovan households, with special focus on vulnerable groups (i.e. financial losses, the effect of the quarantine in social dynamics, educational and gender gap burden, etc.)., (2) Short-term impact assessment on the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises, opportunity losses and business recovery needs.
